Back in 2003, I started a personal blog as a way to keep my friends and family posted on what was going on in my life. As time went on, it ended up being less and less about my life and more and more about science, current events, and the occasional random link to things like Raptor Jesus. Finally, after attending the 2010 Ecological Society of America conference and hearing about a workshop on “How to Write a Science Blog and Why You Should”, I thought to myself, maybe I should just blog about science and current events and keep in touch with my friends and family the old-fashioned way: cell phone and e-mail. And maybe it would be more fun if I could blog about this stuff with a friend who is also a scientist.
So with that, welcome to Righteous November.
